Lesson Title: “Language Exchange Café”

Objective:

    • Provide discussion prompts related to daily life, culture, or interests.
    • Each group engages in discussions based on the prompts, encouraging active participation and language exchange.

3. Group Presentation (20 minutes)

  • Group Presentation Preparation (10 minutes):
    • Ask each group to summarize their conversations or role-plays on the whiteboard or flipchart.
  • Group Sharing (10 minutes):
    • Invite each group to present a summary of their discussions or role-play scenarios to the class, highlighting new vocabulary or phrases learned.

4. Collaborative Activity (15 minutes)

  • Collaborative Task: Assign a collaborative activity, such as creating a short skit or dialogue using newly learned phrases or vocabulary.
  • Group Work: Allow time for groups to work together to create and practice their skits or dialogues.

5. Reflection and Conclusion (10 minutes)

  • Reflective Discussion: Lead a discussion on what students learned from the collaborative activities and exchanges.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key takeaways and emphasize the benefits of collaborative learning in language acquisition.

Homework:

  • Assign students to practice their dialogues or skits at home with family or friends and note any feedback or new language learned.
